When we first moved here, one of the first adventures was a trip up to Togwotee Pass to go snowshoeing. They get drastically more snow than we do. So if you're planning to come visit us in the spring or fall, we can probably find some snow for you.
This is our backyard, it's got a big patch of willows that the moose love. This fox was a fairly regular visitor to the neighborhood last spring. She had her den a couple miles away. I didn't get to see the kits, but Tim was lucky enough to see them. DYK? Female foxes are vixen.
My buddy Joshua came to visit us on his way from Nashville to Mount Rainier. We checked out Buffalo Valley one day. It's pretty, and is also loaded with huckleberry bushes and raspberry bushes. Carry your bear spray.

This lovely little flower is a lady slipper orchid. They are rare, difficult to find, and teeny tiny. This one was in the middle of the trail, luckily no one trampled it. I only saw one last year. Hopefully we'll see more this year.
