May 20, 2012- Annular Solar Eclipse!

I'm not sure if you've seen these yet, but there's going to be an Annular eclipse this summer. Tyler Nordgren created these posters for the parks to advertise their programs and such, but they're pretty neato burrito!

More from Coyote Buttes

We don't really get to see her tongue hanging out this much, it looks cute!

Humperdinck the gnome and Sasquatch explore some boxwork

The tree in the background looks tired. It's just lounging on the ground.

I love this tree!!!

Squatch is a surprisingly good hiking dog!

Going up this little slope wasn't as sketchy as going down.
Squatch surprised me- I wasn't planning to take her picture.

There were lizard and mouse tracks everywhere, it was neat!

I like how the wispy clouds make it look like there's a sunburst behind it.

Timelapse of sunset

So Tim and I went out to the rim to do a timelapse of the sunset on January 9th, thanks to our volunteer it's finally a movie! I'm excited, and now I can't wait to make some more! Hopefully we get some pretty sunsets soon!

WONDERLAND from Christopher Cauble on Vimeo.

I really love this time lapse video! If you've been to Yellowstone you might too. I'm working on my timelapse skills. They're pretty awful right now, but I love looking at this video.

White Sands National Monument

Tim and I went to Texas for Christmas, and we stopped at White Sands along the way. It's sort of out of the way, but we've always wanted to check it out. So we did. It's beautiful! I highly recommend it!

What chyou lookin' at?

Squatch was not interested in sledding, but looked super cute

These dunes look really steep from the top

I went really fast, that's why I'm blurry.

Tim thinks the government is going to hunt me down because of this picture.

Wee, wee, weeeeeeeee!
Ta da!
Look at the camera squatch!
Cheese!
I thought that was an appropriate use for the video mode! I don't usually take videos, but have sort of had a yen to do little projects. Yay for digital cameras!
