Another park ranger's invitations to her wedding

Did you notice the 3 legged dog? His name is Bear.

It's not the most unique way to do invites since someone else did them, but they are quite stylish.

Ten X Campground

Who doesn't love tall trees? I might not if we were in bear country, but luckily we don't get very many bears here. Tim and I went walking out to check out the group campsites at TenX campground in Kaibab National Forest. We were going to go snowshoeing, but the snow melted a bunch. So we walked.

I know it doesn't really look pretty, but Tim's real handy, he can totally fix up the picnic benches and get them moved around.

See, there's benches and a fire pit and some portapotties and these really pretty trees! We were thinking about doing the reception out here instead of in a hotel.

planning.

I'm fairly sure that we'll be holding the ceremony on the rim of the canyon, and then going back to the hotel for the reception. There is definitely a cheese factor at the Grand, but it goes with the locale, but we didn't exactly have a lot of cowboys in the area, ever. So there is going to be a western element, or things are going to blend with the western theme of the reception I guess. The knot doesn't feature a ton of rustic, cowboy themed weddings... I guess I'm having a hard time picturing it. I think it's going to be way nicer than the Squire hands down though.

The GRCA wpa

This is our park's official WPA poster. Tim thinks that it could be modified to include our names and date of the wedding, and then we'd have a very specific memento from the wedding to frame and hang on the wall. I like the idea fo sho.
I was also reading about possibly turning it into an iron on transfer- I was just thinking of doing a tote bag for the people who come and put fruit and bottles of water or something in them, and when they check into their hotels or campsite (there will be some campers I believe) it would make a nice welcome gift... But like I said, just a thought.

WPA Style posters

I don't know if I've mentioned how much Tim and I dig WPA style National Park Posters, but this is probably going to impact our wedding theme.
This is my next favorite one, even though I never worked there. But I've been there at least.

Tim and I are going to tie the knot!

Since someone asked, here's a photo of the ring! Tim went to Zales, it's not crazy flashy, it is very sparkly though. I love it. My hands look super dry here. I blame winter and low humidity.

Tim and I go to Pittsburgh!

There's a Mr. Rogers statue next to the river near Heinz Field. I think it's a little on the creepy side.

Saguaros are cool.

Deer in the headlights?

this is officially my favorite Christmas tree.

This has been photoshopped to get rid of the holes in my jeans, and the handkerchief that was between my legs. Thanks Carl!

Tim and his dad, Carl Palka

20 yard line, 22 rows up. Not too shabby!

I'm cold, but having a good time!

in the orchid room!

I especially like the miniature vegetable garden.

sidecar!

fluffy!

I would call Marshall Marshosaurus...

in the Hopi Katsina display at the Carnegie Museum. Just

tree house!

I love this plant.

Balsa wood

Snowmen jumped into the hottub!

Carl and Janet- we were in the botany room, and there were all these boxes just sitting there. Tim got this crazy idea to stack them into a pyramid... Seeing if we could get kicked out of the museum I guess.

Gingy!

Some pretty sweet fossils there.

It's got feathers!
