Lake Powell

Can you tell which beach towel belongs to who? Btw Kim- that's the water bottle you got me- the white one, and the water proof case next to the cooler is also something that came from Texas.

This is Tim making breakfast on the awesome coleman max- it's a propane grill, stove, and gridle! Super convenient for car camping. Hashbrowns, eggs, and he's toasting some english muffins. You rock Tim!

I just wanted you to see how empty this beach was, we had the whole place to ourselves

almost.

no noisy speed boats on the water first thing in the morning, just calm. Aw shucks.

My indoor pets

My stupid Amaryllis that I planted in October decided to bloom in March. Stupid. But I've still got my shamrocks from last St. Patty's day, and Daffodils from the store, because the ones I planted guerilla style in Tim's back yard are under the 2 feet of snow leftover. And the orchid is still blooming since before Christmas! Who knew? I thought it'd go for a week, maybe two, but 4 months? Crazy.

GRCA in the snow!

Little adorable frozen Juniper Berries! (pronounced Y-uniper)

mmmm... snow. Thankfully it doesn't look like this anymore. Happy dance!

It's a small world after all!

Funny how the Park Service is sometimes. I just had two people come through, they worked at Yosemite. They wanted to know if there was an NPS discount (normally no, but I was feeling generous). I asked them where they worked in Yosemite, and told them I used to live in Wawona- which then narrowed us down to people we knew in common- Stefan Goldstein. He was a roommate of mine when I was volunteering there in 2003. So I told them they were visiting me, and if anyone from South Entrance asks, they can give my name. They gave me Stefan's phone number and told me to send him a text to say hi. It's a tiny little world we live in. Especially if you're a park ranger.

the wave.

Have you ever tried to get a permit to go see the wave? It's on a lottery sytem. It's annoying, but I really want to go see it soon. All the pictures I've seen are totally kick-ass, and we all know, pictures never compare to the real thing.

If you feel like applying for a permit for me in June- 8-10 or 22-24 are the best days for me...

Wintertime in the Desert

This is my backyard. I should probably shovel it out, since it's an emergency exit and all, but I'm lazy.

Check out this trippy snow doughnut!

Nifty rocks on the Tanner Trail.
